Hey guys well its been awhile since I have posted anything but lately I have gotten really into DMO(Digimon Masters Online).
I have already gotten 2 5/5. I got the first one on my first try (Ryuudamon). I got the second one on my third try (Mechanorimon). These were the first ones I hatched and I was like "WOW getting a 5/5 is really easy in this game". Well first lets talk about RNG. I am sure some of you know what this means but bear with me.
RNG is short for Random Number Generator. It is responsible for all the randomness and "luck" that happens in every game. DMO has been programmed with RNG for hatching eggs; they gave a certain percentage that guarantees for an egg to go up to 5/5. (For example, they could be like 30% chance to go up to 3/5). Problem is we don't know the percentage for anything; It is all hidden. There is no trick or tip to change RNG to your favor. You cannot control RNG.
So why are you explaining all of this crap? It isn't going to help me a get a 5/5! Well, hold on there. What I am trying to say is that getting a 5/5 merc egg is COMPLETELY random and it is simply not worth making it your goal. You could be lucky or you could be like me who wasted 142 Renamon eggs to get a 5/5. If you really want to get a 5/5 it is better off buying one in-game from someone.
Anything that has RNG is not worth making your goal because it is something that is out of your control. You will just end up unhappy as you fail harder and harder. You may even get to a point where you spent more time and money trying to get one that you could of already bought 5/5 cash egg.
Also, a 5/5 isn't even that good. A 4/5 is sufficient as it can get really close to what a 5/5 can be. The difference between a 4/5 and a 5/5 is not much and is definitely not worth the time and money getting one. A good/perfect digicloned is much better stat-wise than 5/5. Yet, digiclone also has RNG. So yea now your probably asking, "WTF!". Keep in mind that this game is a Pay-to-win. Having the mentality of "I need to be strongest" is VERY common in MMOs. People with this mindset will either have extremely good rng or will suffer and be unhappy from bad rng.
"So what do I do? I like this game and I just want to have fun." Well, its simple change your mindset. You need to adopt a sort of patient mindset. Let the good RNG come to you. Don't go looking for it. Play the game and enjoy yourself don't go running around dats center looking for data and digieggs and trying to hatch 5/5s. Go grind, do quests, make friends, join a guild, have fun! If you want a certain digimon then save up and buy a cash egg version of it from a player.
I agree. My 4/5 hatched at 118%. Later I got the same digi 5/5 from event and it hatched 115%? I waz like WUT? My 4/5 was born stronger. EXCEPT IN crit. THAT was a bit higher by like 1%... >_> SO I guess 5/5 is only worth it for max size if you have enough fruit. NOT worth the effort in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteCome on, 5/5 digimons IS SHIT HARD, Cant even get 1 to 45 please help me
ReplyDeleteokay and 5/5 egg now 50-60T *u* lets said "WTF" one more
ReplyDeleteSince we are talking about RNG then the terms "easy" or "hard" are quite irrelevant. Unlike what this article wants to make believe lv 5 digimon do worth the trouble (or money), the only problem would be that if you don't have these rare mega/reinforced digiclones you still need to gamble for good RNG while you clone your digimon.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there's another issue. Code wise, stat wise there is no 4/5 digimon or 5/5 digimon, just % and cm digimon. For instance a 113% digimon will always have the stats of a 113% digimon, regardless if it is a lv 3, 4 or 5 digimon. The changes on the stats are not that noticeable if the values are not that different. (80%>125% will always be more noticeable than 120>125%)
All he was trying to say is enjoy the game and dont work to hard trying to control luck. You're thinking to hard.
Delete8 years later the problem stands. This game is still prohibitively grind-heavy unless you dump a truckload of money in it.
ReplyDeleteThe egg hatching backups are a decent tool for making a 4/5 or 5/5, though you have to wait a few days in order to get enough backup items.
