Why do we like junk food so much?!

Junk food is delicious. Admit it. I love pizza, hamburgers, fries, everything. So why is it bad? Why does everything that tastes bad have to be bad for us? Well let me tell you what I think. Lets go back in time when we had to survive and hunt for food. At that time, we spent most of the day looking for food so anytime we found food we would eat it because our brain would reward us with good feelings. So more calories means good feelings. Our brain is programmed like this for our survival. And now we are all screwed because our brain loves calories. Junk food has so many calories. The junk food that we eat today has so many things that our bodies are not used to so it does us more harm than good. Yea, its a human bug that needs to be fixed. Until then we just need self-discipline and …...yea more self-discipline.

What is the meaning of life? (My thoughts)

So this is it. This is the question that plagues our mind once in a while. I am going to tell you what I think about it. I believe that the meaning of life is to be happy. You can be a successful businessman, a doctor, a lawyer, anything. But in the end, it doesn't mean anything if your not happy with it. If you don't like the life that your living now then do something about it. Don't do something because someone tells you or because your expected to. Whatever drives you and makes you wake up in the morning with a smile is what your looking for. That is the true meaning of life at least to me. Its really crazy to me how many parents expect so much from their children and want them to live their dreams. Follow your own dreams. Your real dreams, not the fake ones that are placed on you by your family or society. I hope this helps some of you who are undecided on life or going through a hard time. I wish you all well!

My experiences and thoughts on Diablo 3!

I remember playing the beta a few months ago. I thought it was so boring and repetitive. I knew that I wasnt going to buy it. Months later, the day comes. Diablo 3 comes out and I am pummeled by all the hype. I couldnt hold myself anymore so I bought it the next day. Damn, was I impressed. I rolled a wizard and started playing with a friend. We finished it (not including inferno) in 2-3 days.. I was so hooked. I guess it was because I was playing with a few friends and the end game content was much more exciting.

I feel like the game has no skill until inferno. Everything is a gear check and then it becomes a "how well can you kite before you die" game. Almost everything in inferno one shots you. I only got passed Inferno act 1 and that’s when I decided to re-roll demon hunter because of their smokescreen ability which makes them invulnerable for 2 seconds(WORTH IT). I find it brilliant that as time goes by more and more overpowered gear enters the auction house. So essentially as people keep farming in inferno, the time will come when completing inferno will be possible. I guess they had that in mind when they were making the real money auction house(hasnt been released yet at this time). Money is tight and so far the best way of making money in the game is through merchanting the auction house. Buying low and selling high. Farming takes too long since the drop rate is so low and the difficulty is so high. I am still excited about the real money auction house since its the first game to have one implemented. My true goal is to see if I can make money with it. Well until then. Back to Diablo!!!

How to perform better and win at games!

(Video games to Sports! Everything with competition)

Its all in your head. Literally. If you want to win its all about the state of mind that your in. When you play a game against someone, the most important thing you should do if you want to win is to be focused solely on the game. There should be no emotions in your brain especially frustration. Frustration is your enemy! The only thing that should be on your mind is the game.

You have to be a loser to be a winner. Losing is good! When you lose that means you made a mistake. Something went wrong. Your strategies need an improvement. Not every strategy in the world is completely perfect. If you feel emotionally attached to a certain strategy then you will never get better. Always try to analyze every single little thing. Just like in English class whenever they told you to analyze a prompt. To come up with a strategy you need experience so it is important to try new things out even if they sound stupid.

Here is a good video by Athene that has greatly influenced the way I play games:

The way you engage situations can really affect the results.

If you engage a situation with an aggressive attitude then you will most likely receive results that you do not desire. But, if you come in with an open-mind and calm attitude then you will have a much higher chance of receiving the desired feedback. The reason why this is so is because aggressiveness tends to activate the portion of our brain that makes us defend ourselves. The same way you feel when you encounter a dangerous animal is the same way you will feel when having an argument with someone. Being in this state of mind makes us more likely to think in one direction and usually gets us nowhere. Unfortunately, our brains still have the old survival operating system that we don't need anymore. So is there anything we can do about it? Definitely. Simply by being aware of this we can change the way we respond and engage situations. If you are the receiver of the aggressiveness try to understand that by responding with the same aggressiveness you will cause more problems than solutions.  This can be applied to almost any situations. I’m sure you were probably thinking of your own situation while reading this.
